Napier, a retired NHL player and currently the Executive Director of the NHL Alumni Association oversees 28 local Alumni Chapters and over 2,500 members. As a NHL player, Napier’s career lasted 11 seasons spanning from 1978-1989. During that time period, he played for the Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, Edmonton Oilers and the Buffalo Sabres. After winning a Memorial Cup Championship with the Toronto Marlies in 1975, Napier jumped to the WHA playing for the Toronto Toros and winning the WHA Rookie of the Year in 1976. The team then moved to Birmingham, Alabama where Napier scored 60 goals in a season.
